Testimonial - Mr AJ, Dublin:
Combine a holiday in Hawaii with a few days in either San Francisco or New York! A popular option is to add a few days in San Francisco or New York to the end of your Hawaii holiday. Of course, there are other cities to choose from too, such as Los Angeles, Chicago or Washington DC, but San Francisco and New York are the most frequently requested. You can add the US city either before or after your Hawaii trip, but if you plan on shopping it makes sense to leave it until your journey home so you don't have to carry your purchases to Hawaii with you! Please read these important notes, then work out what kind of budget you will need When you stop-over in mainland USA the airlines charge more for the flights than they do if you travel straight through to Hawaii from Ireland. We have taken mid-priced estimated air fares (not the very cheapest) and included known taxes to give you a ballpark budget figure. They are probably a bit on the high side but there could easily be cheaper fares available or special hotel offers, particularly if you book in advance. Bear in mind, the cheapest fares do not necesarily make for the best itineraries. You could end up with long layovers in airports. We will always do our best to ensure your flight itinerary makes best use of your budget and your holiday time. Don't forget, upgrading to Business Class is a great honeymoon option, particularly if you travel during low season when it may only cost a few hundred per person more! While your checked bags are included in your air fare on your international flights please remember you will have to pay locally for checked bags at the check-in desk for each internal flight segment within the USA (i.e. Hawaii to San Francisco). Allow approximately $25 per checked bag per flight segment. The hotel guide prices include local taxes and are based on room only accommodation. They do not include daily resort fees which are paid locally to the hotel (most hotels in Hawaii and an increasing number in mainland USA charge this fee, estimate $20-35 per room per day as a rough guide). And don't forget, we have lots of hotels and self-catering properties available to best match your preferences. USA & HAWAII - 2017 Budget Calculator
These totals are per person and are probably a bit on the high side but give you a good idea of the budget you will need. If it fits in with the type of budget you had in mind to spend, please give us a call to discuss your precise requirements and we will find you the best value available. Check out the 'how we work' information for further details. And remember, the applies - if we find better value on your travel dates we will pass the savings on to you! AIR FARE - per person
HOTEL - per person, including taxes, room only, excluding resort fee (if any)
OPTIONS Below is a guide to the prices for 5 nights, room only accommodation on the islands of Maui, the Big Island and Kauai. Prices are shown per person, including local taxes, but do not include resort fees payable locally to the hotel.
You will almost certainly require a hire car while on Maui, the Big Island or Kauai. Allow an estimated extra €300 for 5 days, 2-door economy hire car with LDW insurance and unlimited mileage. Hotels usually include the cost of self-parking in their daily resort fee charge. Disclaimer: These indicative prices are intended as a guide only to give you an idea of the budget you would need for your holiday in Hawaii in 2017 and are based on mid-range prices available in the market in October 2016.
