Making a Booking
The suggested packages shown on this website give you an indication of the type of budget you should expect to pay for the holiday – if anything they may be slightly on the high side as we can often find better value air fares, etc.
If travelling to directly just to Bermuda or just to Waikiki and back again, please give us a call on 01 – 210 8391 or email us with your travel plans, dates and type of accommodation required and we would be happy to prepare a brief outline quote for you.
If you wish to include a stop-over in a mainland US or Canadian city, or want to visit more than one of the Hawaiian islands, preparing a detailed quote will take us a few hours to research and present to you. In this instance we will require a deposit of €125 in advance to cover the time incurred. You can then use the quote to book the holiday yourself, or if you would like Aloha Holidays to make the booking for you, the amount of the deposit will be taken off the total price.
When you’re ready to book, please download and complete a copy of this Booking Form, then return it to us by email or post.
Travelling to the USA and Canada
- All passengers travelling to the USA must have a machine readable passport valid for 6 months after the date of return travel.
- All children traveling to the US must have their own passport.
- All passengers to the USA must obtain either ESTA US Visa Waiver pre-authorisation (for Irish and some other passport holders) or a visitor’s visa prior to booking their travel. It is compulsory for all passengers travelling to the US under the Visa Waiver Programme to apply online for authorisation online prior to travel.
- If your flight plans take you via Canada, most travellers will also need a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to, or transit through, a Canadian airport.
It is strongly recommended you apply for your ESTA and eTA before you book your flights.
In the past, it was relatively cost effective to combine a stop in a mainland US city such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York or San Francisco with a flight to Hawaii. Unfortunately the airlines have now decided to add considerably to the airfare price if you do so, so it is usually better value to head straight out and back from Hawaii. It is also worth noting that if you stop off in another city or island, you will have to pay approx $25-$30 per checked bag for each extra flight between the mainland and Hawaii.
It can be a false economy to book online for cheap flights from Ireland to a mainland American city and travel to Hawaii on a separate air ticket. If you miss your connection for any reason you will probably end up having to buy another flight.
Aloha Holidays strongly recommends that you have travel insurance in place at time of booking to protect you should you have to cancel for an insurable reason. The best value is usually to add travel insurance to your existing private health insurance. Alternatively, Aloha Holidays can quote you for a stand-alone insurance package.
